IHSA
Intercollegiate Horse Show Association
IHSA was established in 1967 and now has almost 400 participating colleges in the US and Canada. You can see more on the IHSA website here.
Our team is a member of zone 6 region 2, and we travel within this region to compete each semester. Our region usually runs double header shows, so on a typical show weekend we compete both Saturday and Sunday at the same barn but with different judges, therefore completing two shows per weekend. We usually compete two weekends per semester, for a total of four shows per semester.

Qualifying individuals and teams progress to zones and nationals, which are held later during spring semester and broaden the competition range.
All IHSA registration fees, class fees, trainer fees, and hotel fees are covered by the team. All members need to pay for is food. Transportation is also provided to each show, usually with members' cars or Kenyon vans. Hotel stays, when needed, are arranged by our captain.
